    Our favorite restaurant. A modern and vibrant supper club with the flavors and spirit of New Orleans.

    Recommendation: The tartare (we had to put in a second order on our first visit) and anything on the creole menu.

  • El Taco Riendo

    The best tacos in the city.

    One of Whit’s favorite restaurants. Oaxacan / BBQ fusion. Delicious bites, great drinks, and an amazing atmosphere. Can’t go wrong with their sister restaurants either: Martina, Rosalia, Cardamom, and Sanjusan

    Recommendation: Corn Elote, Kansas City Ribs, Tacos, CHURROS(!), and the Naked Dani

  • Billy Sushi

    Our top sushi spot with an even better speakeasy. Go for the food, stay for the drinks. Let us know if you’re able to find Billy After Dark

    Recommendation: Omakase (make sure you’re really hungry) is our go-to but you truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

  • Young Joni

    One of the best pizza joints in the state. A James Beard Award-winning restaurant, actually. It even has a hidden bar (just look for the red light).

    Our favorite dive bar that still exists, bring a dollar bill to hang up on the wall.

  • Mara Restaurant and Bar

    Located on the first floor of the Four Seasons, the drinks are as good as you’ll find. You might also run into a celebrity.

    Recommendation: Stick to the bar menu

  • Maison Margaux

    The food on the main floor will have you thinking you’re in Paris, we recommend their “hidden” downstairs bar for drinks - where we held our engagement party.

    Reservations: You’ll be ok for the downstairs bar, but may need a resy for dinner

  • Graze

    Graze is our favorite bar/food hall, located in the North Loop, blocks from Target Field. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and 5-6 rotating restaurants.

    Recommendation: A few tequila shots, and anything from The Fabled Rooster.

    Reservations: No, but if the weather is nice this place will be packed.

  • The Loop West End

    If you’re staying in the West End, there are plenty of places to drink and eat. The Loop is special to Whit (rumor has it she has never been carded at their sister location in the North Loop). The Loop is great for chill dinner and drinks, and livens up around 9 pm if you’re looking to get wild.

    Do we ever go there? No. Should you? Yes.

    It’s right next to the Airport and easily accessible from downtown via the Light Rail. You can eat, drink, shop, people watch, and even get slimed at Nickelodeon Universe.

  • Explore the Mississippi River or a Lake

    The Mississippi River is a great walk downtown, and there are 10k+ lakes for you to check out. Our favorites are Bde Maka Ska and Lake of the Isles.

  • Flight - An Elevated Fitness Experience

    If you need to get your but kicked while you’re in town, this is the place. There’s a good chance you’ll see some other wedding guests in class.
